The hands (and minds) behind la Folie's™ hand-knit styles belong to Heather Hervé and Gayle Greenberger, two stylish sisters who started a business doing what they love—knitting fun, hip, one-of-a-kind accessories for kids.

Heather and Gayle began creating their whimsical knitwear when they were unable to find sophisticated, fashion-forward items for their own children. Just a few balls of yarn later and their kids – Levi, Raya and Maden – were sporting colorful, unique scarves and hats that soon became the envy of the playground. In fact, family, friends and strangers alike began saying, "I have to have those hats for my kids!" Heather and Gayle laughed about the folly of the idea—Why shouldn’t all children have stylish, well-made accessories that embody the fun-loving, whimsical nature of childhood?

And so, the duo launched la Folie™. What started as a fun endeavor to keep the kids of friends fashionably warm has grown into a company whose inventive designs have found their way into exclusive boutiques across the country.
